CSR Committee Insights: Michelin's Pioneering Path to Sustainable Mobility
On September 26th 2024, our CSR Committee had the privilege of meeting at the Michelin offices, where we were warmly welcomed. The event began with an insightful introduction to the Michelin brand by Marika Hoflund, CEO, setting the stage for a deeper discussion on the company's environmental initiatives.
Sustainability Manager Richard Andermyr shared his expertise, focusing on the action plans and commitments Michelin has undertaken within the framework of their ESG ambitions, particularly regarding their flagship product, the tire. His presentation included a thorough analysis of the life cycle of tires, highlighting their impact on sustainable road transport and their significant role in advancing sustainable mobility.
Additionally, this gathering facilitated an important conversation about the concrete actions companies are impleing to promote more sustainable and planet-friendly commerce.
This event was not just a presentation; it provided an opportunity for participants to engage, exchange ideas, and reflect on the crucial challenges and importance of sustainability in today’s world, all while enjoying a delightful breakfast.
