Online “café discussion” on job search and entrepreneurship in Sweden
On Tuesday we organised a second “café discussion” online dedicated to French job seekers and entrepreneurs in Sweden.
The meeting was moderated by Estelle Darrigade, in charge of the recruitment and HR department at the CCFS, who could answer the participants’ questions about the Swedish job market, linkedIn and networking. The meeting was also the occasion for the participants to share their experience on job search in Sweden, especially during the covid-19 crisis. One of them for instance related how she managed to find a job thanks to a successful post on linkedIn, which was shared by more than a thousand contacts in her network.
The second part of the meeting focused on entrepreneurship in Sweden, as we welcomed Claude Gourlaouen, founder of the French-Swedish accounting firm Digitalix and member of the French Chamber of Commerce. During his presentation, he first stressed out that Sweden records 1,2M companies, twice as much as in France compared to the population. He presented the main differences between the two types of individual companies that exist in Sweden: the “enskild firma” (sole trader) and the “aktiebolag” (limited liability company).
He then answered the many questions from the participants. They could obtain information on the risks and opportunities linked to the creation of an individual company in Sweden, but also on taxes, VAT or amortizations.
We warmly thank Claude Gourlaouen for his expertise and the participants for sharing their experience. We wish them success in their job search and in their entrepreneurial projects !
Testimonies from the participants :
" It was my first participation and I really appreciated this workshop in small group, interactive and open to discussion. The speaker was very clear, even on topics such as VAT! "
